Pulling it from the Roots introduces four generations of women who struggle with redemption and happiness amid decades over-burdened with suffering.

For the last four generations, the Hopkins women experience the same heartbreaking situations that rob them of what God intended their lives to be. Poverty, addiction, single-parenthood, and sexual abuse seem to be a continuous theme for these women. As the world turns, generation after generation, their hurt and pain appears to be embedded within their DNA. The root of their agony comes from not feeling validated. In the quest to find answers to the whys of life, each of these women is forced to look deep inside for the answers that will open the door to freedom and self-love. Old ways of thinking are challenged when each woman learns self-forgiveness.
