Intimate Betrayal

Paulette resented her mother a retired supermodel (Carmen) for marrying Russell, a wealthy sports agent and devoted admirer, six months after the death of her father. Russell's attraction appears to be a childhood crush compared to Nathaniel, an obsessed fan of Carmen`s willing to do anything, including seduce Paulette to get to his one true love. Russell, protective of his money and assets is doubtful when a stranger suddenly enters the life of his seemingly impressionable stepdaughter, pursues his intuition, and hires a private investigator. Meanwhile Nathaniel's plan progresses flawlessly as he provides Paulette with unyielding emotional support all the while getting closer to Carmen. Unbeknown to Nathaniel, Paulette mistakenly discovers his true passion when she discovers a portfolio of her mother tucked away safely in his chest of art supplies.

Angered by his deception Paulette uses her extensive medical knowledge to plan the `perfect crime', murders Nathaniel and frames Carmen who she believed knew all along. Russell ready to sever all ties, sends a lawyer with divorce papers to Carmen in prison during her high profile murder investigation and trial. With access to library archives and the help of a veteran prisoner, Carmen's pain proves to be resourceful as she's fueled by anger, uses her energy to research extensively, and finally appeals her case. Six months later detectives receive an anonymous tip, exhume Nathaniel's body and trace through extensive PCR testing Paulette's involvement in the homicide. Justice prevails when Carmen regains her freedom and Paulette is tried, convicted, and imprisoned for life.
