Greetings From National Black Book Festival Headquarters!

The 2014 National Black Book Festival is shaping up to be the best ever and we are excited about the plans we are making for this year's event. Something NEW that we've added for this year a Book Club Meet and Greet on Saturday. At the Meet and Greet, NBBF participating authors will have an opportunity for a face-to-face meeting with book club members and encourage them to read their books.  There will be no cost for the book clubs to participate and the Meet and Greet will be part of the participating authors' benefit package.

If you are an author planning to participate at the 2014 NBBF, now is the best time to sign up under the Early Bird Rate.  Early Bird  Registration provides you with the following benefits:

  • You get the lower registration cost of only $250.00. If you are a returning author, you receive an additional $25 discount, making your overall cost even less.
  • A $50 deposit by Feb. 28, 2014 secures your table and the final payment of $200.00 is not due until July 31, 2014.
  • After Feb. 28th, the rate goes up to $300.00 (standard registration rate) and a deposit of $100.00 will be required.

To sign up under the Early Bird Registration Rate, go to the Exhibitors page here

Our host hotel this year will be the Sheraton North Houston. The Sheraton has provided us with excellent room rates as follows: King (single) - $65.00/night; Double bed - $85.00/night; King Junior Suite - $125.00/night. The room reservation online link will be available in about two weeks. In the meantime, you may visit the Sheraton's web site at the link provided above for information about their facility.
