Twelve blues greats young and old--Koko Taylor, Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker, and Joe Louis Walker--are celebrated in images by renowned photographer Lee Tanner, a longtime record-keeper of the blues scene and author of Images of the Blues (Friedman/Fairfax, 1998). Each month's photograph is supported by a brief biography of its subject; blues people's birthdays are noted throughout the year. |
