Shan Kelly Cecilio 2004 Wall Calendar
|Size:||12" x 13"; opens to 13" x 24"|
Shan Kelly Cecilio's earthy, seriously female Stick People--bejeweled and bedecked, clothed in a kaleidoscope of tropical colors--strut in their stiletto heels and live life to the most bodacious degree. Born on the island of Nassau, Cecilio was once a student of commercial art and design but has made her career in fine art. Through her paintings she shares with the viewer her understanding of women; according to Cecilio, the Stick People "represent power and strength. . . ." These vibrant portraits convey a unique joie de vivre and reveal the grit and vigor of their subjects exuberant personalities.
