Calendar Welcome to the world of self-managed artist John Ashford. Ashford's use of color, choice of themes and his detailed, life-like technique distinguishes his art from other artists. His art has the ability to make art enthusiasts feel the scene, as opposed to just seeing it. Ashford was born in Silver Spring, Md., and currently resides in Brooklyn, N.Y. His professional career officially began after he graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. His work has been exhibited overseas in Africa, France and Japan. Ashford has illustrated several books, albums and video covers, and his work has been featured on television and in the movies. This calendar includes many references to important events, birthdays, and holidays relevant to Black history. |
