About this Artist
Essud was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 1945. He began painting as a child and at the age of five was accepted to the Foyer des Arts plastiques. He began his studies under the supervision of such well known artists as Cedor, Nehemy Jean, Lazard, Gourgues, etc. and then went on to attend the Academie des Beaux Arts. He came to the US in 1970, where he studied at the Soho Art Center in New York, and then moved to Florida where he took courses at the Coral Gables Museum of Art. Later he studied at the Houston Art Institute of Texas. His new released prints have been well received at the Philadelphia and Atlanta ABC's and New York Art Expo Javits Center and has also received numerous national awards, including the Manhattan Arts International Magazine's and the Annli's Outstanding Achievers Award.
