's Houston Book Club has a book club that meets monthly. This book club was established in February 2001 and includes Houston-area individuals who are interested in and excited about the following:
  • Meeting other avid readers in Houston and choosing a book per month to read;
  • Selecting recommended books for other enthusiastic readers;
  • Meeting with or speaking via conference call to noted authors and self-published authors at monthly book signings; and
  • Volunteering at's annual National Black Book Festival.

Joining the club is FREE.  Attendance is not mandatory, but is recommended.  However, non-members are welcome to attend the meetings and sit in on the discussions.  Come as a guest -- leave as a member!
