NBBF BOOK FEATURES FOR AUGUST 2014
Embodied Spirits: Stories of Spiritual
Directors of Color is
a solid new addition to the Morehouse collection, this is the first book
to address spiritual direction through the unique concerns, issues, and
experiences of people of color. The book's editor and contributing
author is Therese Taylor-Stinson, and in the essays, you will find
unique approaches to spiritual direction that should inspire your own
exploration. Our embodiment as people of color includes deeply
sedimented narratives of joy, journey, pain, communal formation, and
dissolution that will inform the spiritual work and inspire a culturally
resonant approach to spiritual direction. __________________________ The Colors of
